Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, in the 1990's. Fear is overtaking the city as cases of kidnapped girls and women become alarmingly common. Anamaría works hard at her strict, grade-obsessed middle school, wanting to do the best she can so she can grow up to be successful. Then a lady comes up to Anamaría and says she is her, from the future.
