Description
Chieko plays the koto and lives in a remote village. One night Matsuo, a mysterious flute player from the forest, accompanies her. When a huge pine tree is needed to rebuild the village bridge, Matsuo disappears. Later Chieko finds the flute belonging to Matsuo where the tree once stood. She begins to play her koto on the new bridge and once again their music is heard throughout the village.
