Description
As the wife of upwardly-mobile New York lawyer Jonathan Balser, Tina is expected to fulfill his notion of the "perfect" hostess, gourmet cook, lover, and mother of their children. Jonathan is a man with an over-inflated view of himself, obsessed with his image and social status. His increasing demands upon Tina drive her to an affair with a young writer. But Tina soon learns that she cannot rely on any man to fill the emptiness she feels. Tina, like thousands of women across the country, is now ready to emerge as someone in control of her own life.
