While visiting their aunt and uncle in San Francisco the Alden children visit Fisherman's Wharf. After they ride on their uncle's boat they discover something fishy is going on in the wharf and someone doesn't want Uncle Andy to catch any fish.
The children are attending Camp Coral, where they learn about the ocean and all the things in it — coral, fish, dolphins, and other sea creatures. They find a beautiful hidden beach, but then learn that it holds a terrible secret. Once again, the Boxcar Children must come to the rescue!
An orchestra is coming to town! The children are excited to hear the orchestra play, to meet the musicians, and to learn how to make their own instruments. The orchestra is also displaying a very valuable, old piece of music. But when it mysteriously disappears, it's up to the Boxcar Children to find it!
The Boxcar Children are spending time in a New England fishing village. They learn of an old legend about a ship that sank just off the coast. No one knows what really happened to the ship, and the townspeople say it reappears on dark, stormy nights. Can the children find out the truth about the ghost ship?

The Boxcar Children decide to raise money to help the Greenfield hospital. At Beth's suggestion, they form a service called The Boxcar Helpers — to babysit, wash cars, mow lawns, and care for pets. But Beth keeps disappearing. And then other things start to go wrong. Is someone trying to put them out of business?
Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny are going to visit a castle! Built long ago, the castle is now being turned into a museum. As the Boxcar Children help to restore it, they see mysterious lights and hear strange music. Faces appear in windows — and then disappear. Can the children solve the mystery hidden within the castle's walls?
The Aldens are on a cruise in the Caribbean! No sooner has the cruise begun than things start to go wrong. The ship's radio breaks. It appears someone has fallen overboard — but it turns out to be a false alarm. And then there's engine trouble! Is someone deliberately tampering with the ship? It's a mystery — good thing the Boxcar Children are on board!
Unusual events start when the Alden children assist with a dinosaur exhibit opening at the Pickering Natural History Museum.
Someone steals the newly refurbished boxcar the Aldens are going to ride at the Greenfield Founder's Day Parade, they only have a couple of days to find it before the event.
